Boonzaaijer's Dutch Bakery: Reviews & Ratings
If you are heading thru the Springs, and it's not to late (they do sell out often) then you will do yourself a favor to stop and grab and go or have a coffee and Danish. Lots of seating. But can be full. Lots of parking but only one spot when I dropped in. Probably because it's really really good. Fruit jam stuffed cookies, and the fruit stuffed croissant was... Divine ( is there an angel back in the kitchen). Total "A" as a place. Does ser itself apart.
Such a cute little bakery!! My first visit and everyone was so friendly here! I was also very excited to see they had cannolis as well. Can’t wait to try one of their cakes and pies next time!!
The best bakery in Colorado Springs, CO! We were looking for a great bakery for fresh bread, birthday cakes, pastries, and all kinds of baked goodies — and we found it! The éclairs are a bit small, but they’re incredibly fresh and delicious. The white loaf ($5.25) has a wonderful, fresh wheat aroma and contains no additives. The Boston Cream birthday cake features a rich, firm chocolate topping with a moist, cheesecake-like filling inside. This has become our family’s favorite place to order birthday cakes. Highly recommended!
Colorado Springs Dutch bakery Dessert I'm telling you is my thing. I've had this place saved on my wanna go for years. Worth the wait. I went a little crazy. Whole Strawberry rhubarb pie (for home) Apricot cookies (for VB) Strawberry cake (yummy) Coconut pie (yummy) Eclair (later) Fruit tart (later) S pastry full of almond paste (for VB) Lemon bar (later)
Purchased Sweet treats for Christmas. Went a few days before the holiday and it was Very busy. I expected to wait in line along time. The ladies waiting on customers were very efficient and polite. It was a good experience overall.
Pleasant experience. Came in on a busy Sunday and they still had desserts!! Got the key lime mousse, more tart than sweet but pretty good. Also got the coconut one and it was our favorite one!! It’s in the more dense side but it’s very creamy and rich in flavor. The strawberry torte I think it’s called was good and my favorite part was the strawberry cream. The last thing we tried was the chocolate cake that had the different layers of cream, it was alright.
This bakery is amazing. Get there early for the cinnamon rolls! Everything I've had here has been delicious. The staff are great too. Gluten-free ecalire, the cookies, cinnamon twists...
We got a side of bread pudding, a cinnamon roll, a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin and a cinnamon coffee cake. The bread pudding was good just not bread pudding, much more of a since from a french toast casserole. The cinnamon roll has a great texture, soft without being gooey, but the flavor was so underwhelming. The muffin was good and matched exactly what you would expect, just didn't stand out from any other good muffin. The coffee cake was the stand out start, it was like mini cinnamon rolls with a little coffee cake topping, the flavor was a small explosion with each bite. If you are going to getting one thing here or should be the cinnamon coffee cake.
